This Bachmann N Scale Silver Series(R) 52′6′ Drop-End Gondola is based on cars used for hauling everything from steel to large machinery. First appearing in the 1920s, the Drop-End Gondola allowed for increased loading flexibility. The ends of the car would fold inwards, allowing loads that were longer than the length of the car to be carried, such as pipes or rails. The 52′6′ Drop-End Gondola comes in a variety of authentic paint schemes.
