Bluford Shops 70-Ton 3-Bay 14-Panel Hoppers are based on rib-side AAR-design cars, but NYC made design changes that became popular with more railroads than the AAR version. These cars were constructed by a number of carbuilders from 1956 through the late 1960s with many serving through the 1990s.
