Burlington Northern: Time Zones from Four Ways West is a photographic look at one of North America's most largest railroads. Burlington Northern: Time Zones by Dean Freimund illustrates the entire 25-year history of the railroad from 1970 to 1995, blanketing the vast system by its three time zones, starting in each area of the country at "12:00" geographically and tracing the railroad and its operations clockwise. Most types of BN's trains and the power that pulled them are covered, including predecessor paint schemes, pre-Amtrak passenger trains and minority builds.
