The Burma Shave Signs were roadside staples from the mid-1920s on. Usually in sets of six, these red-and-white signs were spaced about 100 yards apart. The signs told a short but pointed story, with the last sign set always featuring the Burma Shave logo. The wording was always in full capital letters, the signs were all the same size and the type size was always the same.
