The high-lying slim boiler and the airy bar frame with an unobstructed view also characterise the silhouette of the locomotive in the model. The filigree running gear with fine spokes and very vivid balancing weights looks particularly graceful. The model has matching add-on parts such as bells, pumps and lamps. Numerous attached boiler pipes complete the external impression. The drive and flywheel mass housed in the tender ensure ideal driving characteristics. The model comes with a matching PSD XP sound decoder as well as digitally switchable lighting in the area of the running gear and the drivers cab. In addition, a red flickering LED in the area of the firebox can be switched digitally.The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centres, a new fits mfx® quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test.
These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the fits mfx® quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the fits mfx® logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
