The HO Scale 81′ Railroad Tug Boat kit from Sylvan Scale Models is modeled after the high-pilot-house tugs sued to usher carfloats and lighters between railroad connections and to waterfront customers. The higher pilot house allows the captain to see over a railway car float loaded with boxcars. With the closing of most car float operations, many of these tugs may now be seen in regular tug boat service. This cast-resin kit includes etched brass stanchions.
