Novelty 2025: Variant of the class 499 as the S489.0 “”Laminátka“” in the ČSD version in Era IV. The sound version of the model has a PSD XP sound decoder including the largest possible loudspeaker. The model bears the “fits mfx®” quality mark. A new “fits mfx®” quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital command stations. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
