Novelty 2025: In 1998, the company Adtranz (now Bombardier Transportation) developed a new two-car railcar with tilting technology, which was given the name Regioswinger. This multiple unit was intended for use on winding routes in accelerated local and regional transport.The tilting technology enables speeds of up to 160 km/h, which could otherwise only have been achieved on these lines, some of which were built in the 19th century, through complex and expensive construction work.
