The PIKO model impresses with the finest paint and printing, successful mould construction and a coherent realisation of the prototype engine. Many details are worth mentioning, such as the locomotive whistle, free-standing pipes and piston protection tubes. The PIKO BR 55 has a digitally switchable light change that works depending on the direction of travel, a heavy zinc die-cast frame and a powerful motor for excellent driving characteristics. A close locomotive-tender distance is obligatory for PIKO models. Thanks to the integrated Next18 interface, the retrofitting of a digital decoder as well as sound is possible in just a few steps.The model has TT close couplers!
