NOCH easy TRACK Helix, Basic Helix - new levels, new routes, true-to-life operation (360/437.5 mm radius, single or double track)

A model railway layout becomes truly captivating when it feels like a real little world – with real distances, smooth transitions, and exciting route planning. That’s exactly what the NOCH easy TRACK Helix, Basic Helix is made for: it helps you use height differences in a smart way and expand your track plan with convincing realism. With track radii of 360/437.5 mm and the option of a single-track or double-track route, you get a strong foundation that adapts perfectly to your layout ideas.

A helix doesn’t just take trains from one level to another – it adds rhythm, depth, and the feeling of true travel. Trains disappear, reappear, and suddenly they seem “on the way,” creating authentic scenes from everyday life: station operations, working routines, moments along the line – just like on the real railway. NOCH stands for exactly this kind of believable atmosphere: reality captured in miniature, coherent and full of character.

And while the technical function works quietly in the background, the surroundings come alive through the details. With carefully hand-painted, highly detailed NOCH figures, you can create scenes everyone understands at first glance – people in all walks of life, small moments at the platform, in daily working life, or in a rural setting. This turns a functional connection between levels into a meaningful part of your story.

That’s why this base helix is such a versatile element: perfect for model building, model railways, as an eye-catching feature for decoration, or as a strong visual background for macro photography, where perspective and depth matter most. In short: more levels don’t just mean more track – they mean more atmosphere.
