Novelty 2025: The V 180 made history as a pioneering achievement of the rail vehicle industry in the GDR and could already be found everywhere on the DR railway network as a universal locomotive in the second half of the 1960s. The four-axle bogie locomotive replaced numerous obsolete steam locomotive types in high-quality passenger train service, proving itself in busy rush-hour traffic, in front of fast goods trains and in push-pull service in various major cities.
