This Kato EMD SD70MAC with Nose Headlight diesel is based on the 4,300-horsepower road diesel locomotives used mostly in freight service from coast to coast. Features include a nose-mounted headlight five-pole motor with dual flywheels, all-wheel electrical pickup, heavy die cast metal chassis, a lighting control board that can be swapped for a DCC decoder when you′re ready (available separately), fine decoration, directional LED headlights and Kato magnetic knuckle couplers.
