Novelty 2025: In the 1950s, the PKP accelerated the electrification of its main lines and procured suitable electric locomotives on a large scale. As a further development of the EU06 built under licence, the EU07 universal series based on English designs followed at the beginning of the 1960s, which together with its substructure types represents the most frequently built locomotive family of four-axle Polish electric locomotives.
