Designed to move lightweight sheet metal parts economically, these big cars are a fixture of modern auto production. Introduced in the mid 1960s by Pullman-Standard, the cars feature large double-doors for easy access by forklifts. Parts are carried in special baskets to simplify loading or unloading.
