One of the more prominent features on the roof, inertial filter hatches or ′dust bins′ can be found atop second- and third-generation EMD hood units. Each kit features deeply molded, ultra-fine exhaust grilles, hex-head mounting bolts, precise dimension accuracy and a raised mounting surface that ′floats′ the hatch just off the top of the long hood. Used on GP/SD39, GP/SD40, SD45 and SD38-2, SD40-2 and SD45-2.
