Novelty 2023: The class 78 from PIKO with prototypical DR design and lettering in Era IV. Almost all lines are free-standing, the driver"s cab, water boxes and smoke box are decorated with fine reproductions of the rivet heads. The five-pole PIKO motor with flywheel mass provides excellent driving characteristics. Additional weights in the boiler and two traction tyres ensure high tractive power. Thanks to the modern PluX22 interface, retrofitting a decoder is child"s play. A loudspeaker and a smoke set can also be retrofitted with minimal effort. The direction-dependent lighting in LED design ensures an authentic operating atmosphere.
