The Atlas Master Santa Fe Class BX-166 62′ Beer Boxcar is based on double-door insulated boxcars built in the railroad′s own Topeka Shops beginning in 1974. These 62′ cars were widely used for hauling beer and more into the 2010s and some still run in 2018. Over the years the cars have worn many variations of Santa Fe and BNSF paint and lettering schemes. This ready-to-run HO Scale Class BX-166 62′ Boxcar features a detailed injection-molded body, applied-wire grab irons, cut levers, etched-metal brake platforms, 36′ metal wheels and body-mounted magnetic knuckle couplers. The Class BX-166 62′ Beer Boxcar is one of many Atlas HO Scale boxcars.
