This Broadway Limited HO Scale EMD SD70ACe is a model of a widely used prototype which features a die cast metal body for maximum weight and tractive effort. The EMD′s SD70ACe is the successor to the SD70MAC, with design changes implemented to comply with updated emission standards. The SD70ACe is equipped with EMD′s 4,300 horsepower, 16-710-G32-T2 prime mover, and is typically equipped with a Nathan K5LLA horn. These locomotives can be found in service all over the world, as EMD has sold well over 2,000 of the ACe′s and variants. The Paragon4 Series models feature Paragon4 sound and DCC, user-adjustable smoke rate, and integral GoPack capacitor for smooth operation during small losses of electrical contact. This model has wheels profiled to operate on Code 70 and larger rail and curves of 18′ radius, but larger curves are recommended.
