The prototypes for the Bachmann HO Scale Alco 2-6-0 were workhorse steam engines for light mainline duty and branchline locals. This model features a die-cast chassis, metal valve gear and side rods, LED headlight and backup light, metal cut levers and metal handrails and a varied selection of prototypical paint schemes. This model features an injection-molded body, fine decoration, RP25 contour wheels for operation on Code 70 and larger rail and E-Z Mate(R) Mark II knuckle couplers. It performs best on 18′ or larger radius curves.
