The Rapido Trains HO Scale Small-Window Budd Coach is based on cars built for Southern Pacific and purchased from Amtrak in the 1990s with HEP. The prototypes are used alongside other VIA HEP car and are equipped with pass-through MU (multiple unit) cables for push-pull operation. The Rapido HO Scale models feature the small-window body style found on rebuilt former Southern Pacific cars, a fully detailed and decorated interior, fine decoration, factory-installed grab irons, full underbody detail including all separate piping, a realistic stainless steel finish, track-powered interior lighting, sprung diaphragms, HEP 1 or HEP 2 end tooling with HEP receptacles and cables as appropriate, free-rolling 41-NDO-11 trucks with metal wheelsets and integral power pickups. The Budd Small-Window Coach is one of many Rapido HO Scale passenger cars.
