More info

A must-have for many modern HO Scale Amtrak long-distance trains, the ready-to-run Kato Superliner I Transition Sleeper is based on the popular bi-level cars built beginning in 1975 to replace aging cars on western long-distance Amtrak runs. The Transition Sleeper is the interface between bi-level and single-level cars and has a low vestibule at one end. Patterned after the highly successful Santa Fe Hi-Level double-deck cars, the Superliner I fleet was introduced as Amtrak′s first all-new long-distance cars. This model, based on Pullman-Standard prototypes, features appropriate trucks, an exterior finish that matches other Kato cars, interior seats, magnetic knuckle couplers and factory-installed interior lighting. This Superliner I Transition Sleeper is part of the line of Kato HO Scale Amtrak locos and passenger cars.
