Novelty 2023: The class 101 in the design "the producer's Prices" of the DB AG in Era VI. PIKO has perfectly reproduced the exterior design of the class 101 three-phase locomotive on a scale of 1:160. Details such as the single-arm pantograph type DSA 350 have been reproduced in filigree. The sharply engraved bogies behind the low aprons round off the visual impression of the locomotive excellently. A powerful mid-engine provides propulsion in the model. Two brass flywheel masses on the motor shaft provide excellent synchronisation. For good traction the locomotive has two diagonally arranged wheels with traction tyres. In addition to the top lighting in LED technology, the model also has driver"s cab lighting. In the sound version, the BR 101 has a matching PIKO sound decoder ex works.
