Novelty 2023: This DB AG jack-of-all-trades is now also represented as a PIKO Expert model. The modern design of the locomotive has been recreated exactly. The locomotive is painted in traffic red, including the "DB biscuit". The single-arm pantographs have been reproduced with great filigree. Sharply engraved bogies round off the visual appearance. Brake hoses and sun visors are included. A powerful 5-pole motor ensures a free ride. Equipped with two flywheels, the PIKO BR 101 is extremely quiet. Two diagonally mounted traction tyres provide traction when moving forward. Technical highlights are the digitally switchable driver"s cab and driver"s desk lights. The light changes in red/white depending on the direction of travel, of course using the latest LED technology. In digital mode these functions can be switched separately. This is controlled by a PluX 22 decoder. The simple digitalisation is already prepared by means of a plug-in interface.
