Novelty 2024: Version of the class S499 as the Rh 240 Laminátka in the black and yellow design from Lokotrans in Era VI. The grace of the beautifully shaped Škoda 47E Laminátka locomotives has been excellently transferred to the 1:87 scale and an absolutely harmonious overall picture has been created. The many attractive details, such as the skylights in the engine room, have been elegantly realised and the strongly structured lines of the locomotive body have been visualised with sharp engravings. Technical elements such as the bogies, which complete the successful design of the model, have been precisely reproduced. The colourful livery of the prototype, including dynamic decorative elements, also looks great on the locomotive in 1:87 thanks to the elaborate paintwork and printing. The locomotive is powered by a five-pole motor whose smooth running is perfected by two flywheels. There is of course red and white lighting that changes with the direction of travel and uses modern LED technology. The model has a matching PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible loudspeaker ex works.

The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centres, a new fits mfx® quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test.These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the fits mfx® quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the fits mfx® logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
