Novelty 2024: The PIKO model of the class E 41 appears in the colours of the DB in Era III. The front and rear lamps are illuminated by LEDs whose red or white changes with the direction of travel. The technical design of the model corresponds to the familiar PIKO models of the class 141. The model has a matching PSD XP sound decoder and a loudspeaker ex works.

The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centres, a new fits mfx® quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test.These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the fits mfx® quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the fits mfx® logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
