Novelty 2022: Variant of the class 191 as the DRG class E 91 in Era II. Electric locomotives with rod drives are among the highlights on the model railroad layout. The often archaic appearance and the visible power transmission exude the fascination of past railroad eras. PIKO has captured this perfectly and transferred it to the 1:87 scale. The constructive symbiosis of outstanding model realization and excellent driving characteristics characterize the newly developed PIKO E 91. The sharp engravings of the body, paired with a very fine printing and garnished with extremely delicate pantographs make the locomotive a gem. It draws power from a five-pole PIKO motor, and two finely balanced flywheel masses ensure continuous running even in difficult track conditions. Of course, the model has a light change in LED technology with red tail lighting. Additional lighting functions can be switched by retrofitting a digital decoder, a PluX22 interface according to NEM 658 is available for easy installation.
