Novelty 2025: Variant of the NoHAB diesel locomotive as the M61 of MÁV in Era IV. There is no accounting for taste, but there are things whose elegance is beyond any doubt. The PIKO models of the NoHAB can also benefit from the undisputed elegance of the prototype. In order to achieve this overall impression, great importance was attached to details. The ventilation grilles on the sides are designed as strongly structuring elements of the locomotive body with fine etched parts and are an absolute eye-catcher. The striking front windows and the side “portholes” also contribute to the outstanding appearance thanks to their perfectly flush fit. The impression is completed by the precise and highly detailed design of the bogies. A powerful and smooth-running motor with two flywheels is used for propulsion. The sound version has a PSD XP sound decoder ex works. The model bears the “fits mfx®” quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital command stations, a new quality mark “fits mfx®” was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
